We have experimentally demonstrated a single mode Hadamard gate for coherent state qubits by using a hybrid projector system consisting of a conditional homodyne detector and a photon counter. This implementation constitutes the first step towards the demonstration of quantum computing with macroscopic qubit states [arXiv:quant-ph/1107.0822]. This project has been done in cooperation of prof. Ulrik L. Andersen’s group (DTU Physics) and QOLO group (Dpt. of Optics, Palacký University).
