It is our great pleasure to inform you that the 2nd workshop “Photons beyond qubits”, will take place in Olomouc, Czech Republic, during April 8 – April 10, 2013. The workshop will be focused on experimental investigation of quantum information processing with photons beyond traditional qubit approaches, including:

  • single photon, multi-photon sources
  • generation of Fock-state superpositions
  • macroscopic nonclassical states
  • complex interference of photons
  • photon number resolving detectors
  • hybrid discrete-continuous variable techniques

Invited speakers:

  • Ulrik Lund Andersen (Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen, Denmark)
  • Konrad Banaszek (University of Warsaw, Poland)
  • Marco Bellini (National Institute for Applied Optics, Florence, Italy)
  • Maria Chekhova (MPI for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany)
  • Julien Laurat (Kastler Brossel Laboratory, CNRS, France)
  • Christoph Marquardt (MPI for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany)
  • Roman Schnabel (MPI for Gravitational Physics, Hannover, Germany)
  • Fabio Sciarrino (Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy)
  • Gregor Weihs (University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Germany)
  • Jun-ichi Yoshikawa (University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan)
