We had the pleasure of participating in the Day with Quantum at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, where we introduced high school students, teachers, and the general public to our department and our research in quantum physics and optics.

During both the morning and afternoon sessions, participants could attend the lecture From Photons and Atoms to Quantum Technologies Around Us presented by Anežka Dostálová. In her talk, she introduced QOLO’s experimental research in quantum optics and light–matter interaction, covering topics such as single-photon sources, quantum noise, single-photon and photon-number-resolving detectors, our ion trapping technologies, the role of AI in physics, and the possibilities that these advances enable. In addition, we welcomed visitors at our information booth throughout the day, providing further insight into our research, activities, and study programs.

We would like to sincerely thank the Department of Physics Didactics at MFF UK for the invitation and the opportunity.
