As has become tradition, students from the QOLO group participated in the Student Scientific Competition – Dean’s Award 2025, held on May 5th. They presented their research across all competition categories: Bachelor, Master, Doctoral, and Poster.

Martin Dostál was awarded first place in the Master category and was also named the overall winner of the Physics section. Congratulations! In his work, he focused on the implementation of a Gaussification protocol on phase-randomized coherent states of light. The results are published in the paper Experimental investigation of heralded Gaussification of phase-randomized coherent states of light.

In the Doctoral category, Filip Juráň secured first place with his presentation From stars to molecules: AI guided device-agnostic super-resolution imaging, followed by Martin Bielak in second place with the presentation All-fiber microendoscopic polarization sensing at single-photon level aided by deep learning. The third place belongs to Jiří Fadrný for his presentation on Experimental noiseless quantum amplification of coherent states of light.

Anežka Dostálová won first place in the poster session. Posters were also presented by Dominik Vašinka, Martin Bielak, Martin Dostál, and Filip Juráň. Radek Večerka represented QOLO in the Bachelor category with his thesis Photon counting and photon statistics reconstruction.

Congratulations to all participants on their excellent work and achievements!
